UNLV Counselor Education Well-Represented in British Columbia



UNLV Counselor Education faculty recently presented their research at the International Association for Counseling Annual Conference in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The theme of the conference this year was Communicating, Connecting, and Collaborating on a Global Stage.  UNLV Counselor Education faculty members presented on the following topics:

“Infusing Slow Movement Principles into Counseling”

“Internationally Relevant Bereavement Counseling”
Presenters: Dr. Wendy Hoskins and Dr. Randy Astramovich







“Career Counseling Collaboration through Service-learning: Re-conceptualizing Career Counseling and Practice”
Presenter: Dr. Jared Lau 
 
“Using the Counseling Training Environment Scale (CTES) to Assess the Training Environment of Counselor Education Programs: An Ecological Approach”
Presenters: Dr. Jared Lau and Dr. Kok-Mun Ng (Not pictured)

The International Association for Counselling (IAC) strives to promote the well-being of individuals and groups globally by advancing timely counselling practice, research, and policy.  IAC’s role as a major partner in the global counseling community contributes to a world in which peace, social justice, and respect are within the reach of all.
